I like it because CTR it immediately discourages spray and pray strategies so prevalent in our industry (particularly in display advertising). Dare I say, a key performance indicator. It says, you must also get clicks at a certain rate. Better, more relevant ads will get more clicks. So, great metric. Two simple reasons.
