A part of reason for this mis-match in value delivered is that there is a natural evolution that needs to occur. Yet, it is unclear if that increase in investment is being followed by a commensurate increase in value delivered to the organization's bottom-line. There are more mistruths and F U D about Web analytics out there than I think is reasonable. Part of it fueled by Vendors. What a competitive bunch! Part of it fueled by some Consultants. I suppose the rational is: self preservation before all else. This is sad. Even a little frustrating. Let's try to change that. This instant.
